Mr. Sesso is a Certified Financial Planner and has 25 years of investment management experience including 21 as Redwood’s Portfolio Manager. He founded Redwood Partners in 1998 after participating in 80 mutual-to-stock bank conversions. He has a deep understanding of the underlying dynamics of the consolidation of the banking industry and has been using that knowledge to generate index beating returns since Redwood’s inception. The fund has outperformed the S&P 500 for 20 years.

Mr. Sesso is a Certified Financial Planner™ and consults with banks to help them improve their returns on equity. He is the editor of Up Your ROE. Up Your ROE is a book dedicated to helping bank management teams improve their Return On Equity.

Mr. Sesso is a former A.A.U. National Power-Lifting Champion, and set three national collegiate records. He has coached three nationally ranked physical fitness teams and one youth championship football team.

He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
